C-STEM, a ZTA MSP, is proud to announce that we have achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed cyber security certification scheme, developed by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and delivered by the IASME Consortium (IASME), with the goal of helping organisations protect against the majority of the most prevalent cyber-attacks.
The Cyber Essentials certification is considered to be the most effective first step organisations can take in strengthening their cyber security posture. It allows an organisation to demonstrate their commitment to maintaining the security of their operations and their clients’ and partners’ information.
To do so, we underwent a comprehensive audit of our in-scope systems to verify our compliance with the scheme and effective implementation of the five technical control areas (access control, secure configuration, patch management, malware protection and firewalls). We were assessed by accredited certification body, URM Consulting Services, which also performed a full vulnerability scan.
URM’s assessor commented “C-STEM were extremely well organised and enthusiastic about not only meeting the requirements for Cyber Essentials Plus but ensuring the controls were applied in the most effective manner.”
Having certified against Cyber Essentials Plus, C-STEM is now listed on IASME’s directory of certified organisations, which can be found on their website.
There are two levels of certification available within the Scheme – Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus, the higher-level certificate.
C-STEM works in conjunction with URM to offer Cyber Essentials Tiered Support. This provides organisations with the capability to proactively select an appropriate level of support to enable them to achieve CE and Cyber Essentials plus (CE+) easily saving them both time and effort.
